Omkring 1750 boede "Feldmedicus" Polycarp Leporin i det tidligere byhus, der blev bygget omkring 1700. Han var bror til Tysklands første kvindelige læge: Dorothea Erxleben, født Leporin. I dag huser bygningen turistinformationscentret Mittelweser-Touristik GmbH.
