17. Gesmolder Nikolausmarkt

On the festively decorated square at the Femlinde, small stalls offer handicrafts, handcrafts and hot and cold treats. On Sunday at 17:00, St. Nicholas and his helper Knecht Ruprecht come to the fire station and start the popular lantern procession. Accompanied by the youth fire department and the Gesmold brass band, they parade through the night-time streets to the Femlinde. There they hand out presents to the young visitors. All children and their parents are invited to accompany the procession with their lanterns.
